Specialist Knowledge That Delivers Practical Benefits

In the year that the world was introduced to the iconic McLaren F1, the superfast Jaguar XJ220 and the game-changing Ford Mondeo, First Line Ltd launched its first steering & suspension programme. The year was 1992 and during the intervening years, the range has grown by more than eight-and-a-half times, from the original 1,000 references, to in excess of 8,500, making the company one of the UK’s largest aftermarket suppliers of steering & suspension.

Never willing to sit back on its laurels however, First Line continues to invest in the programme and with 89 new references added into the range during the first quarter of 2019 alone, wholesalers know they can rely on the brand for all their steering & suspension requirements, as well as being safe in the knowledge that the cataloguing will be accurate, the pricing competitive and the products consistently available.

As an aftermarket expert, First Line provides the answers the independent sector relies upon, which is why, following high demand for front and rear subframe bushes for the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Freelander II and Evoque, it has introduced four bushes into its range, to deliver workshops and their customers a cost effective repair solution.

Providing solutions is key to any successful business and First Line has again underlined this strength by also introducing a separate rear subframe bush for the Honda Civic from 2005>2012 – First Line part number FSK8051.

With FSK8051, the original equipment (OE) supplier only offers the complete subframe, inclusive of the bushes, making the replacement a very costly exercise for the motorist. However, by providing the bushes in isolation, which naturally match the specification of the OE part, First Line has made bush replacement a far more cost effective and environmentally friendly practice, as there is now no need to remove and discard the entire subframe assembly.

First Line best practice is obviously to replace both left and right hand bushes at the same time. In addition, the technician undertaking the work must ensure they use the correct tooling when pressing the old bushes out and the new versions in to the subframe.

To make the replacement process as straightforward as possible, First Line steering & suspension components are supplied with all the necessary fittings, such as nuts and bolts, as standard. This means technicians are assured that they have everything they need to complete the job, without extra complication or having to pay more.
