Following a successful pilot season, First Line Ltd, through their globally renowned Borg & Beck brand, has extended its partnership with the Cole Trucksport truck racing team for the British Truck Racing Association (BTRA) Championship and will again provide them with the premium quality Borg & Beck brake pads and discs that proved so successful during the first year of the relationship.
With the season opening at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend (21/22nd April) and closing on 2/3rd November at the same venue, the eight-round championship will travel the length and breadth of the UK mainland, with a mid-season jaunt to Germany for a meeting at the legendary Nürburgring, in the Eifel mountains.
The team will again enter ‘The Beast’, an 11-litre, ex-Mercedes works team-built truck that last year finished eighth in division two, as they got to grips with the new machine and began to harness its incredible potential.
As can be seen from the team’s following Facebook post, one aspect of The Beast’s performance that was a sensation from the beginning, was its brakes, which, once swapped to Borg & Beck standard compound pads and discs, proved to be an absolute revelation, delivering enormous stopping power, but also remarkable durability.
